For its first 7.5 years of existence,  Initial Impressions was a brick and mortar retail store in the Hollin Hall Shopping Center in Alexandria VA, specializing in personalized gifts. Eventually the overhead got to be too much and as of March 31, 2017,  the personalizing business is run from my in-home studio.  I have the machines for embroidery, vinyl lettering and wood engraving.
